Take turns creating simple equations and challenge each other to solve for X.  Make them easy or difficult depending on the skill level of the players.

  • I was five minutes late for my 8:00 doctor appointment. I arrived at X o'clock.
  • Sue baked two dozen cookies and I ate 1/4 of them. I ate X cookies.
  • The hike was 15 miles long but I was able to complete only X% of the hike when sore blisters put me on the sideline after walking 6.75 miles.  (Hint 7.5 miles would be 50%)
