Play A Word Game – Category Race

Each person creates a category into which many things will fall. A game of three players might include:

  • Types of flowers
  • Chocolate candies
  • Breeds of dogs

Each player then names two things that would fit into two of the different categories. Player one might say:

  • Peonies
  • Collie

The players whose categories were flowers and dogs would each earn one point. Of course, good strategy would include naming an item from your own category each turn, if possible!

Compare points earned at the end of the game.

(For a two-player game, each player should create two different categories.)
