Logical consequences are proven to be the greatest of all learning tools. One of the simplest and most appropriate logical consequences is the immediate loss of privilege or enjoyment at exact moment that the misbehavior occurs. In other words, abuse it and lose it!

Which behaviors represent an abuse of the current situation?

  • Any form of violence
  • Disrespectful behavior such as name-calling or making faces
  • Conflict over resources, such as fighting over a toy
  • Breaking a rule
  • Extensive whining or complaining
  • Disobedience

Play A Game – Color Chain

Play a round robin game. The first person names an object and its primary color. The next player names a part of the first object that is a different color and then names a new object that has this second color

  • Player One: An orange is orange.
  • Player Two: The peel of an orange is orange, but the pulp is white. Popcorn is white.
  • Player Three: The fluffy part of popcorn is white, but the kernel is yellow. A sunflower is yellow.

Remember to adapt the challenge to the skill-level of the next player.
