The Brain – Development

Medical Science gives us the ability to track the growth of the human brain.  The hundreds of cognitive systems in our brain do not mature simultaneously.

It is easy to watch babies learn new things as they sit, stand, walk, talk, etc.  The changes are not as obvious in older children.

Can you name some examples of continued brain development in children?

Play A Game – Perfect Weather

Player One starts by describing an activity.  For example:

• I’m going down to the pond.  I’m taking a net and a glass jar.  I poked some holes in the lid of the jar.  It looks like a good day for catching frogs.

The other players must guess what type of weather is best for this activity.  A correct answer would be a light rain.
