I’m the survivor of a house fire. Our house was struck by lightning when I was 13 years old. The charge entered through our television antenna and smoldered through the electrical wiring. Deep into the night the smoldering ignited the wood of the old two-story house. I left a brother and sister behind when my mother heroically pulled me out of the smoke-filled upstairs.
