Play A Game – Math Chain

Start with one player making a true statement that includes a number.

  • My birthday is on the 27th.

The next player must create a math problem that results in the number 27.  That player then makes another statement that includes a number.

  • 3 x 9 equals 27.  Our street address is 844.

The next player creates a problem using the number 844.

  • 844 is 1688 divided by 2.  There are 5 people seated at this table.

Take care to send a simple number (such as the 5 in the above example) to the youngest players.  But challenge the advanced learners.
