Table Topics
Mind-stretching brain games and conversation starters. It's the perfect opportunity for sharing stories, building knowledge, strengthening character, and having fun!
In this game, players take turns naming a noun for another players to stretch into a sentence. For example if player one named the noun tree, then player two would be challenged to stretch the word tree into a sentence using the letters of the word.
Tree roots enjoy earth.
Player two could then challenge player three with the noun Candy.
Candy and nuts disappeared yesterday.
Note that our examples used the named noun to begin each sentence. You can follow that rule or choose to allow any words to form the sentences. You may also want to decide whether or not you will allow connecting words such as the, and, of, etc. to help make the sentences flow. (Try to match the named noun with the skill level of the next player.)

Fun with bubbles
Start with the number 1.
The first player must double the number 1 to get the number 2.
The second player doubles 2 to get 4.
Player three doubles 4 to make 8.
Continue doubling each result from the previous double.
How long before you have over 1 million? (Probably not as long as you think!)
