Friendship Plus Mentoring
Highly motivated children tend to be those who have close, loving relationships with their families. Play the appreciation game. One person starts by naming the person on the right and saying “One thing I like about you is the way you…..” It then becomes that person’s turn to compliment the next person. When the turn has come all the way back around, skip to the second person on the right until everyone has complimented everyone else.
Each compliment must be something unique. If someone has already complimented Dad on his sense of humor, no one else can compliment him for being funny. End the game by each person giving a compliment to his or herself.
