Plenty can be done to increase ability levels up to the point where we are limited by nature.
If your goal is to hike down into the Grand
Canyon and spend a week exploring places that few
people see, you can build your physical endurance
in many ways.
If you want to build your assets by investing in the stock market, you can read books written by investing gurus and devote time to tracking stocks you think might show growth.
If you want to feel more confident in Math class, you can work with a tutor or practice with some skill-building workbooks that are sold at most variety stores.
But, you won't do any of these things if your attitude is, "Ah, who cares." or "What difference does it make?" and your motivation is, "I wonder what's on TV." or "I just know I can beat Josh's high score!"
