- Heat a large saucepan of water 3/4 full on high heat until boiling. Stir in pasta and cook for 10 minutes or unti a piece cut through the center shows not white strip.
- Drain and rinse under hot water. Pour into a large mixing bowl. Add butter or margarine and toss to coat.
- Stir in evaporated milk, grated cheese and pepper. Mix well. Pour into crockpot and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours. Serve with salad.
