Serves 4

Change the Serving Size

4 ounces ham
2 ounces onion
1 pound & 4 ounces canned great northern beans, drained
12 ounces chicken broth
8 ounces frozen corn
4 ounces canned, diced green chilies
12 stalks fresh cilantro, chopped
2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 ounces Monterey jack cheese
tortilla chips

Directions
  1. Dice ham and onion.
  2. In a large saucepan combine ham, onion, beans, chicken broth, corn, chilies, cilantro, red pepper flakes, cumin, and pepper.
  3. Heat to boiling. Cover and reduce heat to low. Simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Top with grated cheese and serve with tortilla chips.
