A goal is marked at both ends of the play area or room.
One player is the stone. He squats down in the center of the play area with the other players around him. They run around him while he sits very still.
When he calls, “Stone!” he jumps up to chase them and they run to the goal at either end of the room or play area. Anyone tagged before reaching a goal becomes a stone and squats down in the center with the original stone.
The other players move around the center again until the original stone calls, “Stone!” again. Then all the stones jump up and try to catch more players.
The game continues until all are caught. Choose a new stone and start over.
