For this activity, you will need a short book that no one has read. I suggest a picture book (ask the librarian about picture books aimed toward older readers to challenge your advanced learners).
As you read the story together, pause occasionally and practice inferential comprehension by anticipating what will happen next in the story. Then read on and see if you are right. What clues tell you that your prediction was correct?
