Hamburger and Chips

Make a favorite recipe of kids the world over, hamburgers and potato chips with onion and tomato.

Serves 4

Change the Serving Size

1 pound ground beef
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 slices onion
4 pieces lettuce
4 slices tomato
4 buns (hamburger)
4 ounces potato chips
Your favorite condiments

Directions
  1. Shape hamburger into patties.
  2. Place in a skillet and sprinkle with seasonings. Cook over medium heat.
  3. Meanwhile, slice onion and tomato, separate lettuce leaves.
  4. When meat is browned on one side, flip and season again. Turn heat to medium-low.
  5. Turn on broiler. Place buns under broiler and cook until lightly golden brown.
  6. Spread with condiments. Top with cooked burger (burgers are done when little or no juice runs out when pressed with a spatula), onion, lettuce and tomato.
  7. Serve with chips.
