Serves 4

Change the Serving Size

1 pound & 8 ounces potato
4 ounces onion
12 ounces lean ground beef
1 can cream of mushroom soup (10 ounce can)
1 cup tomato sauce
4 ounces potato chips
4 side salads

Grocery Shopping List for Crackly Potato and Hamburger Casserole

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Wash and peel potatoes. Slice very thin and layer in baking dish.
  3. Chop onion and layer on top of potatoes.
  4. Crumble raw ground beef evenly over the potatoes and onions.
  5. Mix cream of mushroom soup and tomato sauce together and pour over casserole.
  6. Cover and place in hot oven. Bake for one hour.
  7. Crush potatoes chips coarsely. Remove casserole from oven, uncover and arrange potato chips over the top. Return to oven uncovered. Continue baking for another 15 to 20 minutes or until potato chip topping is golden brown. Serve with salad.
