Play A Reasoning Game - You've Got To Be Kidding!

Forming hypotheses and drawing conclusions are an important part of reasoning.  For this reasoning game, you are invited to form the most outlandish hypotheses and to draw conclusions based on very slender evidence.  For example

  • I once saw a squirrel in a tree at the same time that I saw an acorn fall to the ground.  All the acorns under this tree were knocked down by squirrels.
  • After the rainstorm I found several earthworms on the sidewalk.  Those earthworms must have been using the sidewalk as a slip and slide during the storm.
  • Just before the solar eclipse, I heard the neighbor's baby cry.  That child has the ability to predict a solar eclipse.
